Insulated Concrete Forms – ICF are polystyrene concrete form with reinforced plastic ties integrated to create a durable framework for nearly any foundation or wall structure.

ICF forms are available in a variety of widths ranging from six to twelve inches and provide up to five inches of insulation. The superior strength of concrete combined with the additional insulation creates a highly energy efficient and structurally sound building. With increased energy costs and environmental concerns, ICF forms provide an economic alternative to traditional construction methods. ICF forms can be used in commercial, industrial, and residential applications. They can be used to form the foundation (see above) or as a framework for the entire structure.

ICF forms are first stacked in place and steel reinforcement is added vertically and horizontally.

Once a wall is stacked and reinforced, it is braced and concrete is added. After the concrete cures, the bracing is removed.

Windows and doors are then installed and exterior and interior finished applied. Traditional finished such as brick, stone, EIFS, siding, drywall, etc. can be used.
